CHARACTERISTICS

Microgen is a starter and enhancer for biodepurative processes in activated sludge and other uses. It is a multi-functional inoculum based on mineral, plant and useful microorganisms (viable cells and spores), aerobes and microaerobes, with their enzymes in high concentration. Microgen contributes to the improvement of biodegradation processes.

  • Start-up and improvement of biodepurative processes
  • Solving common problems of start-up of activated sludge wastewater treatment plantsincluding sludge leakage, peak loading and decay of activated sludge activity

Doses and directions for use

Usage and Dosage

Waste Treatment Plants

  • Administration: Sparingly, directly in the oxidation tank or after suspension in water, as much as required. Ensure a pH of 7 to 8 and dissolved oxygen above 2 ppm.
  • Start-up dosage100 g/ cubic metre over the total volume of the equalisation and oxidation tanks.
  • Maintenance dosage20 g/ cubic metre/day on the volume of incoming effluent for 2 weeks or more if necessary. Thereafter it can be reduced to 5 g/ cubic metre/day.
  • In the presence of toxic substances: Increase dosages and frequency of dosing to achieve good results.

Conservation and Storage

  • Conservation: Store Microgen in a cool, dry place, avoiding sources of radiation and frost.
  • Stability: If stored correctly in unopened packaging, the product is stable for 6 months.

Warnings

Security: The product is non-toxic to humans, plants, insects, fish and pets; however, contact with skin and eyes should be avoided. Do not ingest and keep out of reach of children.
