Litho plus
biological activator powder
powder
CHARACTERISTICS
LithoPlus is a powdered biological activator derived from finely ground fossilised seaweed. This mineral-derived product is designed to increase the settling capacity of activated sludge and enhance biomass development due to its chemical composition rich in calcium, magnesium and trace elements of marine origin.
Applications
LithoPlus has applications in various sectors, including:
- Active Mud TreatmentDue to its microporous structure and grain size of less than 200 µm, it acts as a substrate for the nesting of floc-forming bacteria, creating well-structured and heavy sludge flocs, ideal in plant start-up phases.
- CompostingIt improves the structure of the compost, prevents excessive acidification of the heap during humification reactions and helps reduce odour emissions.
For best results, use the product by scattering, directly in the oxidation tank or in places with high turbulence to facilitate mixing with the activated sludge mass.

Usage and Dosage
The dosage of LithoPlus varies according to the specific needs of the installations and will be evaluated by our technicians in cooperation with the plant managers. By way of example:
- Start-up dosage250 g/ cubic metre over the total volume of the oxidation tanks, to be distributed over the week.
- Maintenance dosage400-500 g/ cubic metre of sewage sludge extracted from the plant.
- Dosing for CompostingApprox. 4 kg/cubic metre of material placed in the heap.
Conservation and Storage
Store LithoPlus in a cool place, avoiding direct exposure to sunlight, sources of radiation and frost. If stored correctly in unopened, cool packaging, the product will remain stable for 1 year.
Warnings
Neither the product nor its individual components are considered hazardous materials according to European Directives 67/548/EC and 1999/45/EC and their adaptations and appendices.
