What elaterids are and why they are a serious problem
The elaterids belong to the family of Elateridaeand the main damage is caused by their larvae, which live in the soil for up to several years. They feed on the roots of key crops such as maize, potatoes, vines, vegetables, cereals and beet. Their attack is silent but devastating: plants begin to perish, lose vigour, turn yellow and drastically reduce their productivity.

Elatech è un natural bioprotector based on entomopathogenic fungi such as Beauveria bassiana and Metarhiziumselected for their ability to infect and neutralise elaterid larvae. Once applied to the soil, the product colonises the root environment, coming into direct contact with the larvae and triggering a biological control process.
