La falta de hierro, incluso a niveles m\u00ednimos, provoca una ralentizaci\u00f3n del proceso fotosint\u00e9tico y respiratorio de la planta, con consecuencias negativas en la producci\u00f3n agr\u00edcola, tanto en t\u00e9rminos de cantidad como de calidad.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Papel biol\u00f3gico:<\/strong> El hierro es el constituyente de la mol\u00e9cula proteica del citocromo, interviene en la bios\u00edntesis de la clorofila y del cloroplasto, regula los mecanismos de crecimiento vegetativo y participa en numerosos procesos fotosint\u00e9ticos y respiratorios de oxidaci\u00f3n-reducci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><strong>S\u00edntomas:<\/strong> La carencia se manifiesta como una t\u00edpica clorosis internerval (amarilleamiento) que comienza por las hojas m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes de la planta. Si la carencia de hierro contin\u00faa, las hojas m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes tienden a necrosarse, mientras que las m\u00e1s viejas tambi\u00e9n empiezan a amarillear con las siguientes consecuencias: retraso del crecimiento vegetativo, ca\u00edda de las hojas y, a menudo, incluso la muerte de la propia planta.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Causas:<\/strong> en la mayor\u00eda de los casos no se deben a la escasa presencia de hierro en el suelo, sino que est\u00e1n esencialmente ligadas a la naturaleza calc\u00e1rea del suelo: favorece la presencia de elevadas concentraciones de iones de bicarbonato que provocan un aumento del pH del suelo, haciendo que el hierro sea insoluble e inutilizable por las plantas. Pero el pH elevado del suelo no es el \u00fanico factor responsable de la clorosis f\u00e9rrica: el exceso de fertilizaci\u00f3n n\u00edtrica, los suelos ricos en f\u00f3sforo, aluminio y metales pesados, la baja temperatura del suelo y el laboreo frecuente del suelo que favorece la oxidaci\u00f3n del ion ferroso Fe2+ (forma absorbible por las plantas) en ion f\u00e9rrico Fe3+ (insoluble) tambi\u00e9n pueden agravar el cuadro sintom\u00e1tico de la carencia de hierro.<\/p>\n<h3>Tratamiento de la clorosis f\u00e9rrica<\/h3>\n<p class=\"ms-left-dashed\">La terapia consiste principalmente en el uso y la administraci\u00f3n de <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.msbiotech.net\/es\/productos\/hierro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">quelatos de hierro<\/a><\/strong>. Los quelatos son compuestos organomet\u00e1licos con una estructura molecular en anillo que son capaces de capturar e incorporar el ion ferroso (Fe2+) en su interior, poni\u00e9ndolo a disposici\u00f3n de las plantas, incluso en condiciones de pH alcalino. Estos compuestos son solubles en agua y directamente absorbibles tanto por las ra\u00edces como por las hojas.<br \/>\nExisten quelatos sint\u00e9ticos y org\u00e1nicos, como los lignosulfonatos o los fertilizantes de hierro quelados con amino\u00e1cidos y p\u00e9ptidos.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ms-dashed-img alignright size-medium\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/prevenzione-della-clorosi-ferrica-della-vite.jpg\" alt=\"clorosis f\u00e9rrica\" width=\"200\" height=\"auto\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Al igual que las plantas, algunos microorganismos naturales secretan sider\u00f3foros (Neilands 1995), pigmentos hidrosolubles de bajo peso molecular capaces de unirse espec\u00edficamente al hierro trivalente (Fe3+) (Faraldo-G\u00f2mez y Sanson, 2003), facilitando el transporte intracelular y la asimilaci\u00f3n del hierro en las plantas (Weller, 1988; Meldrum, 1999).
