In this article, I want to explain what mycorrhizae are, how they work and which products we recommend to our customers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to talk to farmers, technicians and farms all over Italy. In many cases, those who approached these microorganisms for the first time did so with a mixture of curiosity and mistrust. But once they saw the results in the field - more developed roots, more vigorous plants, more vital soils - there was no turning back. For us, mycorrhiza is not a simple 'addition' to the fertilisation plan: it is the heart of a regenerative agronomic vision, capable of making a long-term difference.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">In our daily work at Ms Biotech, we constantly look to nature to offer sustainable, effective and environmentally friendly solutions. In this article, I want to explain what mycorrhizae are, how they work and which products we recommend to our customers.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>What are mycorrhizal fungi?<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">Mycorrhizal fungi are symbiotic microorganisms that live in association with plant roots. In this relationship, the plant provides sugars and nutrients to the fungus, while the latter extends the root network, enhancing the uptake of water and minerals such as phosphorus, zinc and copper.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">In our sector we mainly talk about:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">Endomycorrhizae (arbuscular):<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"> penetrate the root cells and is the most commonly used type in agriculture.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">Unfortunately, intensive agricultural practices and the use of pesticides impoverish the soil, naturally reducing the presence of mycorrhizae.
